Hello
Dr. Anthony Walker is a Professional Counselor-Associate registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. He earned his Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University February of 2025. In addition, Anthony is Board Certified Life Coach through the Center for Credentialing Education, with over three years of international and national coaching experience specific to sex addiction recovery. Anthony is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Associate through the International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals (IITAP) and is working towards the Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) designation.

In 2013 Anthony obtained a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘em!) and spent 8 years as a professor teaching, conducting research and mentoring students at Indiana State University, where he was recognized with nominations and awards for excellence in teaching, mentoring, supervising and research.
My Story
Anthony works with individuals and couples seeking help adjusting to the stressors of life. This routinely includes clients who have experienced developmental trauma, symptoms of PTSD, substance abuse/dual-diagnosis, men’s issues, sex addiction and betrayal trauma, and couples experiencing communication concerns and attachment ruptures.
Anthony draws from components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative and Existential Therapy approaches, balancing empathy with accomplishment. He is trained in BrainSpotting (an emerging trauma and addiction treatment). His practice combines his specialized training in Betrayal Trauma and Sex Addiction to create a partner-sensitive, trauma-informed approach to working with men, women and couples impacted by attachment ruptures, including problematic sexual behavior.
Anthony is a Certified Partner Coach-Candidate and in the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model (MPTM) through The Association for Partners of Sex Addicts (APSATS). He utilizes the Help Her Heal and the Early Recovery Couples Empathy Model (ERCEM) by Dr. Carol Sheets. He is trained in The Rite of Truth Full Therapeutic Disclosure model trained by Dr. Janice Caudill and Dan Drake; and the Inner Child and Sex Addiction model by Dr. Eddie Capparucci.

Anthony is a Pendleton High School graduate. After traversing the country through Utah, Texas and Indiana, he is proud to once again call Oregon home. He can occasionally be found skiing down a green or blue run at Hoodoo or Willamette Pass (with much less abandon than he did as a youth). Anthony enjoys a good sci-fi/fantasy series, as well as cheering on his talented athletic daughter. College Football is his favorite season. Thai and Indian food are popular choices. At times he can be spotted enjoying the latest production at the Shakespeare Festival with his wife of 23 years or singing in a local choir.
